Power Kiting

Power Kiting is the best way to gain the basic flying skills and to experience the thrill of traction kites for the first time. An hour-long course is the best grounding from which to move on to other kite sports such as Kite land boarding and Kitesurfing. Ideal for all ages and abilities, once mastered, forever hooked.

• Set up of equipment (4 line foil kites)
• Launching and Landing
• Basic Flying Skills
• Pack-up and Kite Maintenance

The courses are held on Newgale Sands and at Brawdy Airfield (dis-used!) when the tide is high or the beach too busy.
One hour Power Kiting Course costs £20pp.

Kite land boarding

Kite landboarding is a perfect, inexpensive light wind compliment to kitesurfing, involving similar skills without getting wet. Big Blue can teach all levels of kite landboarding, from a complete beginner with no previous experience to those looking to master advanced techniques such as jumps, power slides, turns, rotations..

Charged on an hourly basis (min 2hrs), courses are tailored to achieve as much as you want before you get exhausted!

A Typical Beginners' Course

Following on from a power kiting course the beginner landboarding course is geared to making life as simple as possible to get maximum progression.

Advanced Coaching

If you would like to learn advanced techniques we can tailor the course to suit your needs. Advanced techniques can cover;-

• Setting up and use of de-powerable foils
• Advanced board set up
• Controlling and maintaining speed.
• Going up wind
• Turns, toe side, heel side, power slides
• Flat rotations
• Jumping
• Jump Transitions
• Rotations, back loops, forward loops
• Anything you want.

All kite landboarding courses are held on Newgale Sands out of season or Brawdy Airfiels (dis-used!) when the tide is high or the beach too busy.
