Beginners Courses

Our beginners courses are designed to give you a taste for kitesports (1 day) or to equip you with all the skills you need to safely and confidently practice on your own (2 Day). The courses are an intensive 5 hours each day covering the following syllabus:

• Day 1
  • Theory and safety awareness
  • Power kiting
  • Kite-landboarding
  • Inflatable kite set up, launching, landing and safety systems
  • Self rescue techniques
• Day 2
  • Water re-launching
  • Bodydragging, upwind and downwind
  • Boardstarts
• Day 3
  • Extra boardstart practice to really improve your confidence and independance

Before you leave us you will also be given useful info on the right kit to buy, maintaining your kit and suitable locations near to where you live.

Duration and cost:

• 1day £95 per person
• 2 day £190 per person
• 3 day £250 per person

Big Blue is recognised by the IKO and BKSA who set the standards for teaching kitesurfing.

Big Blue endeavours to provide tuition which goes  above and beyond the standards of the governing bodies.
