Course Details

All courses are inducted at the Big Blue portal cabin located in the car park of Newsurf on Newgale sands.

For all courses please bring cash/cheque on the day as we have no credit card facilities. You will also need a towel, swimming costume/clothes and wetsuits etc, if you have them. If not they can be hired from New surf. You will also need sturdy shoes and warm waterproof clothes for any land based courses and exercises.

Big Blue Booking Conditions

1) Big Blue requires a deposit of the course price for 1 person when a group of 3 persons are booked (Price of 2 persons for a group of 6 etc.) The deposit will not be refunded if the clients cancel the booking less than a week beforehand.

2) Course start times are dependant on tidal times. Big Blue cannot operate on the beach two hours either side of High Tide and therefore these times are non-negotiable. Unless conducted at Brawdy Airfield.

3) Big Blue will inform booked customers as to the weather forecast and therefore the status of the course at least 24 hours before the start time.

4) If the course is cancelled 24 hours prior to the agreed start time Big Blue will endeavour to reschedule booked customers at their convenience. It is the responsibility of the client to arrange alternative dates.

5) If the course is cancelled at the start time of an arranged course (eg. due to an inaccurate forecast) Big Blue will not take any money and will re-book at the convenience of the customer.

6) If the course is cancelled after the start due to the weather conditions or the compromising of clients or other beach users then customers will be offered a choice of a part refund (minus work done) and the opportunity to re book, or for Big Blue to keep course payment and for alternative dates to be arranged.

7) Big Blue supplies all necessary equipment for tuition except wetsuits and wetsuit shoes/boots. These can be hired on the premises.

8) The student must accept that all courses are weather dependent and that this may adversely affect your course.

9) All decisions regarding the running or cancellation of any course are at the absolute discretion of Big Blue whose decision shall be final.

10) Completion and signature of the booking form by the student confirms that he/she has read and understood these booking conditions and accept the same.

11) Students are required to notify Big Blue at the time of booking the course of any medical condition suffered by them that may be relevant to the activity to be undertaken on the course. All information given will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Students must be aware that power kite sports and windsurfing are dictated by the weather and are potentially dangerous and therefore are undertaken entirely at the student's own risk.
